According to the TMC leaders in

West Bengal

's North Dinajpore district, environment is the key issue in the elections.

"Today, we are suffering because of pollution. To save the environment, we want to reach out to every person in this area to spread awareness about this menace," TMC district chief and Itahar MLA Amal Acharya said.

"I have seen many elections. But I have never seen such a campaign. It's a good initiative," says S Chakraborty, a local resident.

Chakraborty believes other political parties should also support such campaigns.
