TRS misusing power, creating fear among opposition: Sachin Pilot
HYDERABAD: Rajasthan deputy chief minister, Sachin Pilot, charged the ruling TRS with misusing power to buy legislators, and pressure lawmakers to create an environment of fear. Addressing a media conference here on Monday, Pilot said Congress is trying to usher in clean politics in India by getting rid of BJP, which is spreading communal hatred.
“There is a wave of change across the country. Congress and its allies will do extremely well, and UPAIII will form the government. The way BJP has done seat adjustments with its allies in Bihar and Maharashtra, it looks as if BJP is not confident of performing well on its own,” Pilot said.
On the scope for post-poll alliances, mainly with SP and BSP, he said Congress respects the SP-BSP alliance, and the collective objective of all like-minded political parties, particularly regional parties is to see BJP does not return to power. “After the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, political equations will definitely change. It is too early to comment on the kind of post-poll pacts,” he said.
One of the star campaigners of Congress, Pilot was here to campaign for party candidates, mainly Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, who is in fray from Chevella seat.
“A vote to KCR will automatically help BJP. Everyone understands the behindthe-scene game being played by TRS and BJP. Modi-led BJP has failed to deliver its promises on Rs 5 lakh into bank accounts of poor, create 10 crore jobs in five years and the list of empty promises of both TRS and BJP is long,” he said.
