HYDERABAD: BJP on Thursday ruled out the possibility of a post-poll alliance with TRS and the need to seek support from regional parties. Dismissing speculations that TRS could join BJP-led NDA, state BJP president K Laxman said there is ‘zero possibility’ of BJP striking a deal with TRS. “We firmly believe that BJP will form the government on its own.
We foresee no need of a regional party like TRS supporting us,” Laxman said.
He confirmed there was no ‘secret understanding’ with any party in
Telangana. “If we had an understanding with TRS, as it is being said, we should have won more seats in the December assembly election. Our former floor leader G Kishan Reddy and I had lost in the election,” he added.
He said ‘Modi wave’ is very much relevant and would help BJP win a good number of seats. “BJP got just 7.7% vote share in assembly polls, but surveys indicate that we will get 15% vote in Telangana,” he claimed.
