Rahul Gandhi may unveil Congress’ strategic plan at Zahirabad
HYDERABAD: AICC president Rahul Gandhi will address three public meetings in Telangana on Monday covering the Lok Sabha (LS) constituencies of Zahirabad (12noon), Nagarkurnool (2pm, Wanaparthy) and Nalgonda (4pm, Huzurnagar). He had covered the Chevella LS constituency in early March.
The Telangana Congress leaders said they have urged the AICC for Rahul Gandhi’s third round of campaign in the state on April 8, which is yet to be finalized. The 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana would go to polls on April 11 in the first phase of the parliamentary elections.
Telangana Congress treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy informed that Rahul Gandi might outline Congress’ manifesto at Zahirabad meeting. “Rahul Gandhi has already unveiled NYAY (Nyuntam Aay Yojna), which offers Rs 72,000 annually to every poor family in India. This will benefit over 50 lakh people in Telangana. He has also announced Congress’ plan to boost economy through creation of lakhs of jobs for rural youth. He is expected to unveil a roadmap for transformation of agriculture sector by helping the farmers in the right manner,” he said.
He said the party's manifesto would not just be a vision document, but a strategic plan to address all core issues.
