Lok Sabha elections: Priyanka Gandhi’s no-show upsets Telangana Congress

HYDERABAD: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Monday announced a list of 40 star campaigners for the Lok Sabha polls in Telangana, however Priyanka Gandhi’s name is missing from the list. The state Congress leaders had earlier written to the AICC leaders to include Priyanka’s name in the list.
However, the state Congress leaders exuded confidence of convincing the party leadership to ensure that Priyanka addresses at least one public meeting in the state. Congress president Rahul Gandhi, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, former PM Manmohan Singh, party leaders Navjot Singh Sidhu and Mohammad Azharuddin, actors Kushboo, Nagma and Vijayashanti are among the 40 star campaigners.
Mallikarjun Kharge, Ghulam Nabi Azad, V Narayanasamy, G Parameshwara, DK Shivakumar, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Salman Khurshid, Jairam Ramesh and Siddaramaiah are also in the list.
