K Laxman takes potshots at KCR, calls him ‘naamdaar’
HYDERABAD: Ridiculing the claims of TRS leaders of making CM K Chandrasekhar Rao as the prime minister after winning 16 Lok Sabha seats from Telangana, state BJP president K Laxman said why KCR was not contesting the general elections if he was so keen on becoming PM.
He also threw a challenge to TRS working president KT Rama Rao, saying if he would take political sanyas if Narendra Modi becomes PM again, Laxman said, “I am saying that NDA will form the government and Modi will become PM again. I am ready to take political sanyas if it does not happen.”
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the BJP chief said the TRS chief had advanced the assembly elections as he feared about ‘Modi wave’ if elections for assembly and Lok Sabha were held together.
He said Modi is a ‘real chowkidar and kamdar’, while KCR is only a ‘naamdaar’.
“A person (read KCR) who cannot give good governance in the state is now dreaming to become PM.” He went on to say that with 16 seats TRS will have very little bargain at the Centre. Laxman said they would submit opinions and suggestions collected from a cross section of people to BJP manifesto committee chairman Rajnath Singh soon. “The suggetions will be incorporated in the BJP national manifesto,” he said. The suggestions were collected from 10,000 people as part of party’s outreach programme.
“The NDA government has implemented various schemes in the last five years. If any issues are left out, they will be incorporated in the manifesto,” Laxman said. Party leaders Rakesh Reddy and K Krishna Saagar Rao were present.
