Tamil Nadu: Poll survey says DMK front to get 30-33 Lok Sabha seats
CHENNAI: Indicating which way Tamil Nadu could swing in the ensuing LS polls, one more poll survey has given a major share of seats for the DMK front. A survey done by APT for Puthiya Thalaimurai channel said the DMK front would win 30-33 seats out of the 39 in Tamil Nadu. The AIADMK front, the survey says, would get 6-8 seats. The AIADMK had won 37 seats in 2014 and two of its present alliance partners – the BJP and the PMK - had won the balance two seats.
In terms of vote share, the DMK alliance is set to get 41.92%, followed by the AIADMK 27.07% and actor Kamal Hassan’s party MNM 5.68%. The survey has given only 4.71% vote share for the AMMK led by TTV Dhinakaran.
More than 31% of respondents said DMK president M K Stalin was the most popular leader in the state. Chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami got only 9.66% and deputy CM O Panneerselvam 6.16%. Kamal got 4.65% and Dhinakaran 3.78%.
The Times Now-VMR opinion poll too has predicted 33 seats for the DMK alliance and 6 seats for the AIADMK alliance.
