CPI candidate in Nagapattinam Lok Sabha constituency M Selvarasu attended a meeting addressed by
Naam Tamilar Katchi
leader Seeman in Tiruvarur on Monday night.
The CPI candidate, who was returning home after campaigning in Thalaignayiru, heard Seeman addressing a gathering at Panagal Salai. Seeman was campaigning for P Malathi, who is Selvarasu’s rival in Nagapattinam Lok Sabha constituency, and for and R Vinodhini, who is contesting in the Tiruvarur assembly byelection. He criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also attacked the Left parties’ stand on various issues.
Selvarasu asked his driver to stop the car. He got down from the car and walked towards the venue.

Seeman was told about the CPI candidate’s presence. After completing his speech, Seeman announced the arrival of the CPI candidate. He invited Selvarasu to the dais.
Without any hesitation, Selvarasu climbed on the dais and appreciated Seeman’s speech. They embraced each other.
Seeman wished Selvarasu victory in the elections while the latter wished all the best for the former’s party in the polls.
