LUDHIANA: The
Lok Insaf Party
(LIP) chief
Simarjit Singh Bains
will contest Lok Sabha election from Ludhiana constituency.
Bains, sitting MLA from Atam Nagar assembly seat of the city, had fought the 2014 general election from the same seat and got more than 2.1 lakh votes.
Addressing the media persons, LIP leader Balwinder Singh Bains announced Simarjit's name at party's office in Kot Mangal Singh area.
Talking to mediapersons later, Simarjit Singh Bains thanked
Punjab Democratic Alliance (PDA) and the core committee of LIP for giving him duty to fight election from Ludhiana. He added that he never ditched the voters and politics for him is not a trade and is passion for patriotism.
“In politics we seek to end mafia, drugs and corruption in Punjab and it will be our first duty. For that, I will even give last drop of blood for that and I will not stay back on that,” said Bains.
