He said the AIADMK hoped that this way they could disturb the election campaign of Kathir Anand

Referring to an article published in an English weekly that the AIADMK had dispersed almost Rs 650 crore to woo the voters in 2016 assembly election, Stalin said as many as three senior party functionaries including former ministers Natham Vishwanathan, Vaithiyalingam and deputy chief minister O Paneerselvam had spearheaded the money distribution .

The news magazine had sourced the evidence from the documents seized during an IT raid at a mining company, the DMK president said.

He added that it was a pity that chief minister was unaware that his political career was nearing a dead end.
