BHOPAL: AICC president Rahul Gandhi will address three public meetings in Bundelkhand districts on Tuesday for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in the state.

Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to reach Khajuraho at 11:30am from where he will fly in a chopper to Jatara in Tikamgarh for his first public meeting. After addressing the gathering in Jatara, his next stop will be in Amangunj in Panna district where he is expected to reach by 1:45pm.

After Panna, he will reach Pathariya in Damoh district around 4:45pm to address the last meeting in

Madhya Pradesh

. He will depart for New Delhi by special flight at 6:15pm.

State goes for its second phase of Lok Sabha elections in nine constituencies on May 6. Three of these nine constituencies are in the Bundelkhand region including Khajuraho, Damoh and Tikamgarh. The other seats are Betul, Hoshangabad, Satna and Rewa.

Rahul Gandhi’s public meetings on Tuesday would be concentrated on the Bundelkhand seats where there are 29 assembly constituencies. At present, Congress has 13 MLAs from these areas while BJP has 14. The SP has one and BSP one. The Congress president’s public meeting in Damoh is in Pathariya assembly seat where there is a BSP MLA.
