BHOPAL: Launching its poll campaign, the state BJP on Thursday flagged off 26 digital chariots (rath) from the state party headquarters to publicise the works undertaken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the centre. BJP state president Rakesh Singh flagged off the chariots who will visit all 29 Lok Sabha constituencies.
“We are prepared for Lok Sabha elections to bring
PM Narendra Modi back to the power at the centre.
The public is ready to give blessings to the BJP. The digital chariots will reach all constituencies with the message of PM Modi,” said Rakesh Singh. The vehicle has a digital screen that will spread information regarding the Narendra Modi dispensation’s public welfare activities and schemes. Workers shall also stage street theatre.
Meanwhile, the BJP also held meetings to contain the disgruntled leaders on more than 10 Lok Sabha seats. Former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Rakesh Singh spoke of party leaders and workers in the plan. The BJP is also holding a series of meetings in New Delhi to decide the candidates on remaining 11 Lok Sabha seats. Party sources said that a meeting was also convened at the official residence of external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to discuss and finalise the name of candidate from Vidisha. The meeting was attended by local leaders and office-bearers of Vidisha BJP unit, sources said.
