: Madhya Pradesh is going to witness a four phased

Lok Sabha elections

this time around. Voting will take place on April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 29. The counting of votes in scheduled to take place on May 23.


BJP, Congress and BSP are the main parties in MP. The main fight is going to be witnessed between Congress and BJP.

BJP will contest on Lotus symbol while Congress will contest on hand symbol and BSP will contest on its symbol of Elephant.



BJP won 27 seats in the last general elections held in 2014 while Congress won 2 seats. BSP had failed to win even a single seat last time around.

BJP after losing last year's assembly polls in the state will be hoping to bounce back.

Congress has declared candidates on 9 seats including Bhopal from where former chief minister and senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh is contesting. BJP has announced candidates on 15 seats.
