Day 3: Independent neta files nomination

INDORE: An

independent

candidate filed

nomination

on Wednesday, three days after EC issued notification, in Indore parliamentary seat.

“I have no experience in politics. But I want to do something good for society and resolve problems like inflation and crime against women. I decided to contest polls since I have managed to gather deposit amount of Rs 25, 000,” independent candidate Surendra Single said. He has sought for poll symbol of bat, water bottle and torch.

In past three days, 33 candidates have expressed their desire to contest

Lok Sabha polls

from Indore. They have obtained nomination forms from district election office, while four of them have filed nomination as independent candidate. Interestingly, four probable candidates of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and three of SAPAKS, have obtained form.

Congress candidate Pankaj Sanghvi obtained form on very first day when the process of filing nomination started, while BJP candidate Shankar Lalwani is yet to approach district election office. Candidates of both the parties are expected to
