BHOPAL: After voting in six Lok Sabha constituencies in the state, both the Congress and the BJP expressed optimism about winning all the seats that went to polls in the first phase in the state.
Talking to TOI, state Congress media in-charge Shobha Oza said: “We are winning all seats. We were strong on all seats and feedback received during voting and thereafter further strengthened our belief that we are winning all the seats.” Asked whether she was not sounding too optimistic, Oza said, “Let the results come.
You will see, I am not being too optimistic.”

Former minister and BJP in-charge for Haryana Vishwas Sarang while talking from Haryana, said “The feedback is people voted to make Narendra Modi prime minister again. We are in a situation to win all six seats.”
BJP MLA from Jairajgarh in Sidhi, Jairam Maravi told TOI over phone from Sidhi, “The party is in a good position. I can’t predict the margin, but we are in a position to win. I can assure you one thing from my constituency, the BJP lead will exceed by 17,000 votes by which I had won the election.”
To a question about BJP’s prospects on Jabalpur seat, senior BJP leader and former minister Moti Kashyap said, “I am not in Jabalpur, but according to feedback, the BJP is winning from Panagar assembly segment.”
State Congress spokesperson J P Dhanopiya, said “There has been more voting which means people have voted against the Central government due to prevailing anti-incumbency sentiments. It was an election between Congress and Modi because the BJP is nowhere in the picture. I am sure people have voted against Modi and his misrule.”
