'Chowkidar Chor Hai' campaign banned in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL: The office of chief electoral officer (CEO) in Madhya Pradesh has banned broadcast/telecast of "Chowkidar Chor Hai" campaign of the Congress party in the state.
An order issued by the joint chief electoral officer Rajesh Kaul stated that state-level media certification and scrutiny committee decided to ban the campaign on April 17 and hence the campaign should be taken off air immediately.
The state BJP had filed a complaint with the CEO seeking a ban on the Congress campaign advertisement terming it malicious and intended to harm the image of the Prime Minister.
