Members of the ‘NECF Power Bank’ WhatsApp group, accepted the novel campaign to motivate young voters to exercise their franchise and also to plant saplings to commemorate the occasion. Nagaraj Padavinangady, a member of the WhatsApp group, said he planted a sapling in his premises soon after voting. “Many of my friends too have planted saplings to keep the memory of voting alive,” he added.
