MLAs proposed Nikhil’s name, not us: Anitha
MYSURU: We didn’t propose
Addressing people from Mandya settled in Mysuru at a convention hall in the city on Wednesday, she requested them to go to Mandya and try to get at least 100 to 200 votes each for Nikhil. “I request you to tell people why they should vote for Nikhil and talk about the advantages if they elect him. If any farmer commits suicide, it is CM HD Kumaraswamy who will be the first to visit his house. Apart from this, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s efforts for the welfare of farmers especially Mandya farmers is also immense. Kumaraswamy has allocated Rs 8,600 crore for various developmental works of Mandya. Hence I request people of Mandya to vote for Nikhil and strengthen the hands of H D Kumaraswamy and H D Deve Gowda,” she said.
“I welcome healthy competition but not like this. Though Ambareesh was in politics for more than 30 years, what is the contribution of Sumalatha, she was nowhere. Hence I request people to vote for Nikhil who can be easily approachable. Let one more son of soil get born from here,” she said. She also called upon the voters to support Congress candidates wherever they are contesting and see that Kumarawamy completes his five year term as chief minister.
“In Delhi, there are lot of lobbying from north India and there should be some influence to get things done and get projects. Hence, if Nikhil gets elected, who is the grandson of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda and who has lot of respect in Delhi, he can easily get things done and can take up lot of developmental works for Mandya,” said district incharge minister Puttaraju.
Puttaraju also assured to solve Falcon Tyre issue if Nikhil gets elected from Mandya.
JD (S) leaders KS Rangappa, MLC Marithibegowda, Srikantegowda and others were present.
