.

T his Mangaluru-based 23-yearold artist’s digital vector art work on Prime Minister Narendra Modi titled “Chowkidar Sher Hai” has now gone viral.

Jeevan told TOI that he never expected the work to become a sensation.

“From almost a year, I have been planning to work on a portrait on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

I worked for almost two days prior to uploading this picture to social media platforms,” he said.

Jeevan’s art shows a lion, signifying king, and Modi camouflage into a vibrant sunrise colour (orange-red). “I am a portrait artist and think twice before spending time on a person. The person must be an inspiration,” Jeevan said.

Jeevan has to his credit several art works, but his first one on a politician has gone viral. At least for the time being, he has no plans to work on portraits of other politicians.

Jeevan is a professional visual artist with a degree from Mahalasa School of Art and has been freelancing for several studios.

He teaches animation as a guest lecturer at St Aloysius College and assists his father in their family business of jewellery.

He has worked on many art works for the St Aloysius Museum. He trained in digital art for a week under Karan Acharya, who designed the famous “Angry Hanuman”. Jeevan considers John Chandran as his guru.
