Heat doesn’t obstruct Congress, BJP campaigners
HAVERI: A week ahead Lok Sabha polling for
Food and civil supplies, minority and Wakf minister Z B Zameer Ahmed Khan launched his campaign for Congress-JD(S) candidate D R Patil with a road show from Koda village of Hirekerur taluk. He also took part in road shows at Rattihalli, Masur, Hirekerur and Chikkerur along with MLA B C Patil. Hundreds of Congress supporters were present.
Zameer alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was emotionally blackmailing people about national security. “The NDA government is misusing security forces to get political mileage in the name of air surgical strike. BJP doesn’t have any agenda for development in this election. So they are using nationality as a trump card. It is not nationality but communalism,” he alleged.
Kannada actor Shruti and BJP leader conducted road shows in Motebennur, Hosaritti, Agadi, Tilavalli, Hanagle and Neregal in Haveri district. She was accompanied by BJP Haveri constituency coordinator Siddaraj Kalkoti, MLA Nehru Olekar and other party leaders. Shruti spoke in the local Kannada slang which was appreciated by people.
“PM Narendra Modi’s popularity is making opposition parties to come together and form an anti-BJP alliance. The opposition is afraid of the Modi government’s policies and popularity. The PM remains by far the most popular, decisive and dynamic leader among the present set of politicians,” Shruti said.
Haveri
