“Some frustrated people say these things as they have been ignominiously chased out of their home districts,” Gowda said, a reference to former chief minister Siddaramaiah who had lashed out at Gowda when he campaigned for Congress candidate Krishna Byregowda in Bengaluru North. “I’m a former chief minister and can contest from any constituency in Karnataka,” he added.
On BJP leader BL Santosh’s statement, in reference to the denial of ticket to Tejaswini Ananth Kumar that candidature would not be decided based on one’s DNA, Gowda said the high command’s decided to field Tejasvi Surya from Bengaluru South and he wouldn’t like to comment.
