Protesting the BJP’s concept of a New India, Sudarshan said the saffron party’s idea revolved only around polarising the society and creating a vicious atmosphere of hatred and anxiety. “What we need to do now is to shelve the concept of New India and revive the principles of modern India laid down by the country’s tallest leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and B R Ambedkar,” he said, adding this philosophy prophesised inclusive approach and appreciated diversity.
