What CEC said on J&K assembly polls
Election Commission announced Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls post LS elections. CEC Rajiv Kumar affirmed. Phase 1-Apr 19, Phase 2-Apr 26, Phase 3-May 7, Phase 4-May 13, Phase 5-May 20. Counting on June 4. LS polls in five phases.

NEW DELHI: Election Commission of India (ECI) announced on Saturday that Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) assembly elections will be held 'soon after Lok Sabha elections.'
"EC stands committed to holding Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir soon after LS elections," said CEC Rajiv Kumar.
The Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be conducted in five phases.
The Phase 1 voting is scheduled for April 19, followed by Phase 2 on April 26, Phase 3 on May 7, Phase 4 on May 13, and Phase 5 on May 20.

The Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be conducted in five phases.
The counting of votes will take place or June 4.
