Lok Sabha elections 2019: Congress sets up 'war room' in Himachal Pradesh
SHIMLA: After deciding its candidates on all four seats in Himachal Pradesh, Congress party on Thursday inaugurated a 'war room' to carry out its election campaign across the state. State Congress president Kuldeep Singh Rathore said that campaign across state would be monitored from this war room and four more war rooms would be set up in all four parliamentary constituencies of state shortly.
Much before Congress finalised its candidates, BJP not only had announced candidates on all four seats but also had launched the election campaign.
BJP’s war room is already active. Congress initially struggled on deciding the candidates especially on Hamirpur parliamentary seat, but now party is gearing up to intensify its poll campaign.
Convener of war room, Saurabh Singh Chauhan said that state level war room has been divided into five sections. He said that decision making team at war room will comprise of core group members of Congress headed by Kuldeep Singh Rathore.
He said that war room will function round the clock those responsible to man it having right hours shift. He said that people at war room will monitor the responsible of public and campaign at district and constituency level. He said that war room will also monitor the digital content. He said that 50% digital content will be used from AICC while 50% digital content will be based on state specific issues.
He said that rapid response team at war room will ensure party’s reach among voters at assembly and block level. He said that war room will also coordinate for the election rallies of star campaigners.
At war room set up at state party headquarter in Shimla, 10 members team has been deployed that includes the representatives of party on all four parliamentary constituency. With the setting up of war room, Congress is now also take its poll campaign to social media.
