DHARAMSHALA: A day after Pt. Sukhram and his grandson Ashray, who were the part of
BJP in last assembly elections, have joined
Congress in hope of tickets, the BJP chief minister Jairam Thakur said that he was in touch with the leaders of his party who wanted to join Congress.
The chief minister denied taking any action against his cabinet colleague.
“It happens in politics where the father and son work with different parties,” said Thakur.
He backed the party candidate from Mandi constituency stating that everyone is happy that Ram Swaroop Sharma has been announced by the high command.
Thakur also said that he had words with
Suresh Chandel
who was expected to join Congress.
“I can’t assure that whether he would remain with BJP or not. But I hope he should stay back to his own party,” he added.
