Out of 68 constituencies of Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur has toured most of them but Bharmour area was never touched in last many days due to its tough location. Thakur during his tour to this area urged support for party candidate Ramswaroop Sharma from Mandi.
Mandi parliamentary is also the home of Thakur. Congress has fielded Ashray Sharma, the grandson of veteran Congress leader Sukhram from here.
Jia Lal, the BJP MLA from Bharmour told TOI that it is the first visit of Jai Ram Thakur as HP CM to this area in last more than one and a half year, people of this area are happy as they are hoping some ease in their lives.
“This was the first visit of our CM after he assumed chair in 2017. People are very happy they have interacted with him and assured of their support. Public is also hoping for some ease in their lives now” he said adding that road connectivity and electricity are the major problems being faced by the people of this area.
While addressing the gathering, Jai Ram Thakur targeted congress over nepotism in politics and told the people that youths are going to decide the fortune of the politicians this time.
“Young voters have always played a decisive role in Indian elections. This time too they are going to perform well. I urge them to cast their vote in favor of BJP for a better India and strong democratic system” he said.
After Bharmour, chief minister then addressed a political rally at home turf of Congress candidate Pawan Kajal in Kangra assembly constituency represented by Kajal as MLA. Few village heads associated with Kajal and Congress were made to join BJP.
The rally was addressed at Ranital area. It was the strategic location opted by the BJP as area also shares borders with Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency also.
