chief minister (CM) Jai Ram Thakur said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has special attachment with Himachal Pradesh and that's why, after becoming prime minister, hilly state was given financial support on priority basis.

"But the then Virbhadra Singh government failed to make plans to utilize these funds," he said, adding that people of the state know that the development plans for state can be continued only if Modi government returns to power.

CM Thakur said that for 10 years, the Congress government hardly gave any assistance to Himachal Pradesh. He also claimed that Modi is getting more support in these elections as compared with previous elections and the opposition does not stand a chance.
