Himachal Pradesh: Calls in BJP for Sukh Ram son’s exit
SHIMLA
: Following his resignation from state cabinet, the BJP leadership has mounted attack on former minister Anil Sharma whose son Aashray Sharma is contesting from Mandi parliamentary seat on Congress ticket, to resign from state assembly as well as BJP.BJP’s state general secretary Chander Mohan Thakur on Saturday said that if Anil has slightest iota of morality left in him then he should resign as MLA and leave the party too. “He cannot remain half in BJP and half in Congress,” Thakur said.
While addressing media in Shimla, Thakur said it is not possible that father remains a BJP MLA while son nurtures dreams of becoming MP on Congress ticket. He said Anil won from Mandi assembly seat and became minister in state government and now he does not want to campaign for the party.
“He should tell clearly whether he wants to remain in BJP or wants to join Congress. If he wants to campaign for his son then he will have to resign from BJP and state assembly to seek fresh mandate,” Thakur added.
“Anil is most suited to campaign in Mandi. But if he don’t want to campaign for BJP then he should resign from the party and join his son. By remaining in BJP he cannot be allowed to hatch conspiracies against the party,” Dutt added.
BJP ministers including
Mahender Singh
Thakur, Ram Lal Markanda and Govind Singh Thakur have also dared Anil to resign from state assembly. They said Anil should resign and contest again from Mandi assembly seat. They claimed instead of focusing on development of Mandi, Anil focused on the development of his family.Popular from Business
