Poll machinery geared up for smooth voting in Vadodara

VADODARA: District election officers dispatched election materials along with EVMs and VVPAT machines to the polling staff on Monday morning from seven dispatching centres of the district.


The polling staff was handed over 127 materials besides the

EVMs and VVPATs

. Wheelchairs were also handed over for the polling station where disabled voters have been registered. The district election officer and collector Shalini Agrawal and other officials inspected dispatching centres and also the strong room at the Polytechnic college campus in Fatehgunj.

After the polling will end on Tuesday, the polling staff will return the election material at the same centres from where the EVMs and VVPATs will be sent and locked at the strong rooms.

Election officials said that ample arrangements have been done so that voters can cast their votes without any trouble. Arrangements have also been done in case any voter’s health deteriorates while waiting in queue in the heat.
