NaMo makes a brief stopover at Vadodara

VADODARA: Prime minister Narendra Modi made a brief stopover at the Vadodara airport on Monday afternoon while flying from Nandurbar in Maharashtra to

Udaipur

in Rajasthan on his campaign trail. Modi met select senior members of the Bharatiya Janta Party at the airport.

The PM arrived at Vadodara airport in a helicopter and then left for Udaipur in a plane. He had a brief interaction with minister of state for urban housing Yogesh Patel, Sayajigunj MLA Jitendra Sukhadia, mayor Dr Jigisha Sheth and Vadodara Municipal Corporation standing committee chairman Satish Patel.

On his way to Udaipur, Modi passed by the iconic Statue of Unity that is his brainchild. He even tweeted ‘Great to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Unity on the way to Rajasthan’ along with a video of the statue.

Modi had addressed an election rally in Nandurbar and was scheduled to do so in Udaipur after flying from Vadodara.
