Lok Sabha elections 2019: Priyanka Gandhi to visit Ambaji, Somnath

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the general secretary of the Congress party, is likely to visit Gujarat next week to campaign for the general election. Official sources in the party said that Priyanka will campaign in

Saurashtra and North Gujarat

next week. Her schedule will be announced by the party in a day or two.


Priyanka is expected to begin her campaign in Saurashtra and North Gujarat by visiting the

Somnath

temple and the Ambaji temple. She will address rallies in Saurashtra and North Gujarat, two regions where the party made substantial gains in the 2017 assembly election.

Meanwhile, Congress president Rahul Gandhi will campaign in Gujarat on April 15, 18, and 20. Party sources said Gandhi will address three election rallies in the Lok Sabha constituencies of Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Junagadh on April 15. He will return to Gujarat on April 18 and address a rally in Porbandar. On April 20, the Congress president will address rallies in the Bardoli, Dahod, and Patan Lok Sabha constituencies. Interestingly, both PM Narendra Modi and Gandhi are likely to campaign in Patan on the same day.
