The petitioner, advocate K R Koshti, had filed a PIL earlier this month. The PIL was filed on the basis of news reports and sought HC directions to the chief electoral officer, the Ahmedabad district election officer, and booth-level officers to include the names of 1.25 lakh voters who had fulfilled formalities to register as voters and whose names had been deleted from the list.
