Arvind Kejriwal reviews preparation for all Lok Sabha seats in Delhi
NEW DELHI: AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal has reviewed the party’s preparation on all seven
The outcome of the review, a source in AAP said, is positive, thus emboldening the party to drive a hard bargain in AAP-Congress alliance talks. Sharing details of the review, an AAP source said, the party is in a position to alone give a tough fight to BJP and defeat it.
“The situation has changed drastically in the past one month. People who have directly benefited from various schemes like free water, subsidised electricity, etc, are with AAP. Due to our extensive campaign, such sections of voters have consolidated behind AAP,” said the source.
AAP has also managed to clear confusion among people that the Lok Sabha election is only about electing the PM. “We have convinced them that the election is crucial for getting full statehood for Delhi, and thus the victory of AAP candidates is very important,” said the source.
The party stresses on making the full statehood issue resonate with the middle class. “In the last one month, the phenomenon of the middle class, which appeared happy with the air strikes in Pakistan, has lost steam and now, in the changed situation, AAP stands to get an advantage,” the source claimed.
In all 70 assembly seats, AAP claimed its campaign is stronger than Congress and BJP combined, and so is the support behind it. AAP claimed that an analysis of the mood of minority voters suggests that they are upset due to Congress being a divided house on the issue of alliance.
While Delhi Congress chief Sheila Dikshit has been opposed to an alliance, Delhi Congress in-charge P C Chacko is in support of it. “Due to the confusion, the minority voters are unpleased and are with AAP,” said the sources. AAP will launch the second phase of its campaign in Delhi from April 8.

AAP and Congress should not take a chance with BJP. They must tie up and fight together so as to take all the 7 seats. No point regretting later. AAP must not club the alliance in Haryana or Punjab with Delhi. Discuss separately for an alliance if possible in other two States.Read allPost comment
