Arvind Kejriwal slams Yogi Adityanath for 'PM Narendra Modi's army' remark, calls it an insult

NEW DELHI: Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday hit out at his Uttar Pradesh counterpart, Yogi Adityanath, over his remarks that "Indian Army is Modi's army".
"It is an insult to the Army. The Army has also called it an insult. It is an insult to the entire country. Indian Army is the Army of the country, and not of an individual," Kejriwal said during a rally at Delhi Cantonment while urging people not to re-elect Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said he would do everything possible to get Delhi the status of a full state and the victory of AAP's seven candidates in the Lok Sabha polls would be crucial for that.
"I will approach every political party of the country and seek everyone's help for full statehood. If the support of our MPs are required for government formation at the Centre, we will put full statehood as a pre-condition," said Kejriwal, who addressed three rallies.
Other AAP leaders addressed nine rallies on Monday.
