Anti-BJP votes deleted on large scale, says Kejriwal
NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday alleged that anti-BJP votes had been deleted at “an unprecedented scale”. He was reacting to reports that electorate in various parts of the country had found their names missing from the voters’ list during polling for the phase of Lok Sabha elections.
Kejriwal questioned the fairness of the polls even as his deputy, Manish Sisodia, accused the Election Commission of “serving the BJP”. Voting began in 91 constituencies and was spread across 18 states and two Union territories in the first phase.
“The Election Commission must explain,” Kejriwal tweeted. He quoted tweets of various people who had found their names missing, rendering them ineligible to vote. In a series of tweets, Kejriwal asked EC if the elections were fair.
“What is happening EC? Are these elections fair? Anti-BJP votes deleted all across India. Reports coming from all across India that votes have been deleted on unprecedented
Sisodia, too, Tweeted: “Election Commission of India!' Please see what you are doing to 'Voters of India'. So many people reporting about illegal

AAP leaders also called upon the chief election commissioner to raise the issue. AAP has also alleged that dalits, poorvanchalis and baniya community have been specifically targeted. EC and BJP have categorically denied the allegations.
