AAP calls BJP manifesto a fresh ‘jumla’
NEW DELHI: AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Monday stated that
Taking to Twitter after BJP released its manifesto, Kejriwal tweeted, “BJP unveils a fresh set of jumlas without telling the country what is the fate of its 2014 jumlas. Modi-Shah don’t have the courage to speak on why demonetisation was done? What happened to two crore jobs? Why were farmers pushed towards destruction?”(sic)
The CM said BJP had promised full statehood for Delhi in 2014 Lok Sabha elections, but has now reversed its stand on it. “Now you have removed Delhi statehood from your manifesto altogether. You have deceived the people. It is clear that you lie in the manifesto,” Kejriwal stated.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said after the Pulwama incident, people had hoped that BJP would include the paramilitary forces demand of pension and martyr status in its manifesto, but it failed there as well. He also criticised BJP for politicising the achievements of the armed forces and not paying attention to their needs.
“BJP released its manifesto just three days before the election to hide its failures and false promises from the scrutiny of the common man,” he said.
