Nara Lokesh sets focus on Muslims, releases separate manifesto
MANGALAGIRI: IT and PR minister
After studying the demands of the locals, Lokesh had readied a 20-point manifesto for the welfare and development of Muslims. Interestingly, Lokesh had already released separate manifestos for weaver and goldsmith communities in the constituency.
Releasing the manifesto on Friday, Lokesh said that all the Urdu primary schools in Muslim-dominant colonies will be up-graded to high-schools and high schools into junior colleges.
“I am overwhelmed with the love and support being extended by the Muslim community in the constituency. I promise you that I will be there for your overall development and welfare,” assured Lokesh.
He said that minority finance corporation would be further strengthened to help small merchants from the community in getting loans and financial assistance.
He said that the government would take special care to provide skill development to the talented Muslim youth to help them getting jobs in government and private sectors.
Lokesh said that minority youth would be encouraged to set up their own businesses and small-scale industries so that they could create more jobs. He promised to provide job training under NTR Yuva Nestham programme. Lokesh also assured to conduct special job fairs exclusively to help the unemployed youth of the minority community.
Lokesh also promised to set up an old-age home for the Muslims. He said that the old-age home would be run by the government. He said that the government would provide cars on subsidised prices to those who have driving license.
“We will provide pucca houses to all the poor among the Muslims in the constituency. If anyone wants to construct the houses right in the places where they were residing, we will also help them,” said Lokesh.
Lokesh said that the government would grant a laptop to all the students pursuing engineering and medicine streams.
He said that the government would grant land for eidgahs, mosques and burial grounds in the constituency.
“We will also take measures to protect the existing eidgahs and burial grounds by construction of compound walls,” he promised.
