NARASARAOPET: Sitting MP and TDP Narasaropet Lok Sabha candidate Rayapati Sambasiva Rao has said that development in the state will be badly hit if Naidu did not return to power as neighbouring states were ready to create hurdles to the construction of Polavaram project.
He said that Chandrababu Naidu is fighting to protect the rights of Andhra Pradesh by braving to face Narendra Modi and KCR.
He appealed to people not make a mistake in the election and continue their support to the TDP. Rayapati Sambasiva Rao launched publicity vehicles designed and donated by Telugu NRIs here on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering, Rayapati said that millions of youth in undivided state got lucrative jobs in Information Technology (IT) sector in several developed countries including the United States thanks to the champion role played by chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. He said that IT sector witnessed a boom only due to the proactive role played by Naidu. He said that AP could come out of the red only TDP returns to power in the next elections. He said that Polavaram project would be completed only if Naidu returns to the government.
Rayapati said that they would shortly complete three water grid projects by spending Rs 600 crore. He said that three water grid projects would provide drinking water to all the villages in Vinukonda, Gurazala and Macherla constituencies. He said that the government had also granted Rs 100 crore for completion of Anupu-Koppunur lift irrigation scheme to provide water to about 10,000 acres of additional ayucut.
