BENIPATTI (MADHUBANI): Asserting that the grand alliance of Congress, RJD and JD(U) is going to form the next government in Bihar, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi told a rally here on Thursday that the development of Bihar would take a new dimension under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
“Bihar mein jo chunao hai, do rajnitik vichardharaon ki ladai hai (the ensuing Bihar election is a battle between two political ideologies),” he said.
The grand alliance’s secular ideology is pitted against the divisive religious agenda of RSS, he said, adding that Modi was refusing to come out of the RSS pracharak mould even after becoming PM.
Praising Nitish Kumar for development of Bihar during his tenure, Rahul said each district of the state will have a university after the grand alliance forms government and youngsters will not have to go outside in search of jobs. “Why don’t you ask Modiji why Biharis are beaten up in Maharashtra, a state ruled by his party and ally Shiva Sena,” Rahul asked the crowd.
Hitting back at Modi over his ‘Three Idiots’ barb, Rahul said the PM is making such remarks as he is “sensing defeat in Bihar... That is why he calls the alliance Satan and ‘3 Idiots’. But he is the Prime Minister of the country and such language does not suit him,” he said.
