ARA: RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Saturday said ever since Narendra Modi assumed office as Prime Minister, the country had been facing all sorts of problems. “The Modi-led government at the Centre is a threat to secular fabric of the country,” Lalu said.
Addressing election meetings at Ara, Sandesh, Shahpur, Barahara and Jagdishpur in Bhojpur district, Lalu said the BJP was just a mask and that the Brahmin-dominated RSS was dictating terms to the government.
“The RSS not only has the remote control, but the actual control over Modi government. RSS is dictating terms to the Modi government and preparing its agenda. Everyone is aware of the evil designs of this right wing organisation,” the RJD chief said.
He added that the NDA won the 2014 Lok Sabha polls because JD(U), RJD and Congress had fought separately. “We are united now to teach NDA a lesson,” Lalu said, adding that Modi misled people by making false promises in the run up to Lok Sabha election. The RJD supremo reiterated that no one can scrap the existing reservation policy till he was alive.
“Modi’s promises of bringing back black money stashed in foreign banks, giving job to five crore youths every year and controlling skyrocketing prices of essential commodities proved hollow. The Chinese army intruded Laddakh and occupied the area for seven days, but Modi did not allow the army to challenge them,” Lalu said.
Referring to Modi’s “shaitan” barb on him, Lalu said, “Modi is a “brahmpishach” (super demon) and BJP president Amit Shah “narbhakshi” (man-eater).
Accusing the BJP of allotting party tickets to criminals, Lalu said the saffron party should stop blaming him for “jungle raj”. “Can criminals ensure ‘mangal raj’ in the state?” Lalu asked. He urged the people to vote in favour of Mahagathbandhan candidates for all-round development in the state.
