NEW DELHI: One need not wait for long today to know which way the scales will tilt in Bihar, with the Election Commission promising the first trends on its official website from 8 am.
As many as 243 counting halls across 39 counting centres will take up counting on Sunday morning, as political parties, candidates and voters alike wait to find out if the outcome is actually the cliffhanger predicted by a majority of exit polls.

While 37 of the 38 districts have one counting centre each located at the district headquarters, one district - Saharsa - has two counting centres separated by a road.
Results of counting will be displayed on ECI website and CEO, Bihar website on a regular basis. The URL of the website is eciresults.nic.in. The website of Election Commission of India eci.nic.in will also have related link.

The picture as to which party or political alliance is in a better position to form the government will be clear latest by 12 noon.
As many as 243 observers have been deployed by EC to supervise the counting process. There shall be three-tier security in place at all counting centres, with the inner cordon manned by the Central para-military forces. Besides, CCTV cameras have been installed at all the centres.

Training has been provided to all officials involved in the counting. State level refresher training has further been given to all District Election Officer-cum-District magistrate, returning officers, IT managers and other technical persons.
Necessary infrastructure like computers, internet (data cards) of at least two different telecom service providers, printers, photocopiers, standby generators and fire extinguishers have been arranged at all counting centres.

Randomization of officials for counting duties will be done under the supervision of ECI Observers as per the direction of ECI.
