In Shyampur, Dr Hiranmoy Chattopadhyaya (Hiraan) of BJP secured a strong victory, polling 1,25,651 votes and defeating TMC’s Nadebasi Jana by a margin of 22,260 votes. AIFB’s Asit Baran Sau finished third with 8,713 votes, as the constituency went in favour of the BJP.
