Murshidabad Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: BJP’s Gouri Sankar Ghosh defeats TMC’s Shaoni Singha Roy by 31,521 votes
Abdul Mannan (All India Forward Bloc), Ali Siddique (Congress), Gouri Sankar Ghosh (Bharatiya Janata Party), Prallad Mahato (Bahujan Samaj Party), Shaoni Singha Roy (Trinamool Congress), Milia Sajem (Socialist Unity Centre Of India (COMMUNIST)), Mir Hasnat Ali (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Champa Bibi (Independent), and Sahabuddin Sk (Independent) — 9 candidates contesting from Murshidabad in West Bengal's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Murshidabad is a General constituency under the Murshidabad Lok Sabha segment, with 268,221 voters on its electoral rolls. In 2021, Gouri Sankar Ghosh of the Bharatiya Janata Party won by a margin of 2,491 votes. The 2016 winner was Shaoni Singha Roy of the Congress. the final result will show which candidate has secured the most votes in Murshidabad in 2026.
