In Maheshtala, Subhasis Das of TMC secured a decisive victory, polling 1,16,811 votes and defeating BJP’s Tamanath Bhowmick by a margin of 32,913 votes. Bhowmick finished second with 83,898 votes after all 17 EVM rounds were counted.
