Atanu Halder (Congress), Uttam Kumar Banik (Bharatiya Janata Party), Gobinda Kumar Sardar (Bahujan Samaj Party), Chandan Saha (Communist Party of India (Marxist)), Sarmistha Purkait (Trinamool Congress), Somnath Naskar (Socialist Unity Centre Of India (COMMUNIST)), Bhaskar Chandra Naskar (Independent), and Soumendra Nath Sardar (Independent) — 8 candidates contesting from Magrahat Purba in West Bengal's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Magrahat Purba is a Scheduled Caste (SC) reserved constituency.
