Gaighata Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: BJP's Subrata Thakur leads with a 26,088-vote margin
Anil Kumar Pandey (Congress), Narottam Biswas (Trinamool Congress), Sabyasachi Biswas (Bahujan Samaj Party), Subrata Thakur (Bharatiya Janata Party), Shibani Majumdar (Socialist Unity Centre Of India (COMMUNIST)), Sajal Biswas (Communist Party of India), Chandan Roy (Independent), Tapan Biswas (Independent), Shiddhartha Samadder (Independent), Sudhir Mondal (Independent), and Subrata Adhikary (Independent) — 11 candidates contesting from Gaighata in West Bengal's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Gaighata is a Scheduled Caste (SC) reserved constituency, with 252,053 voters on its electoral rolls. In 2021, Subrata Thakur of the Bharatiya Janata Party won by a margin of 9,578 votes. The 2016 winner was Pulin Bihari Ray of the TMC. the final result will show which candidate has secured the most votes in Gaighata in 2026.
