Basanti Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: TMC’s Nilima Mistry Bishal wins by 56,181 vote margin
Gopinath Naiya (Congress), Nilima Mistry Bishal (Trinamool Congress), Bikash Sardar (Bharatiya Janata Party), Asit Roy (All India Secular Front), Milan Biswas (Socialist Unity Centre Of India (COMMUNIST)), Samar Biswas (Revolutionary Socialist Party), Asim Sardar (Independent), and Gouri Naskar (Independent) — 8 candidates contesting from Basanti in West Bengal's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Basanti is a Scheduled Caste (SC) reserved constituency under the Jaynagar Lok Sabha segment. In 2021, Shyamal Mondal of the Trinamool Congress won the seat. The 2016 winner was Gobinda Chandra Naskar of the TMC. the final result will show which candidate has secured the most votes in Basanti in 2026.
