PM Narendra Modi said on Saturday that Kashi Vishwanath Dham (corridor) had not been developed for electoral benefit, reports Rajeev Dikshit. While emphasising the need for a stable government, he also mentioned that UP would emerge as the driving force of the country’s economy.
Ahead of his public meeting at Khajuri, Varanasi, on Saturday,
Modi was interacting in Mahmoorganj with around 200 intellectuals, including academics and other dignitaries. Classical vocalist Pt Chhannulal Mishra welcomed Modi by reciting a song.
Sharing his vision for KV Dham, Modi said, “Rejuvenation of KV Dham should have been done in the past as Kashi deserved it. This work has not been done keeping elections in view…” “The country paid the cost of an unstable government for 30 years as no important decisions could be taken. Apart from stability, continuity is a must for an accountable government,” Modi said.
