Manmohan, Sonia, Rahul, Priyanka on list of 30 Congress star campaigners for Punjab elections

Congress president Sonia Gandhi, party leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, besides Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu and chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi are among the party’s star campaigners for the Punjab assembly elections.

A list of 30 star campaigners was issued by the party’s general secretary KC Venugopal on Friday.
CHANDIGARH: Congress president Sonia Gandhi, party leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, besides Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu and chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi are among the party’s star campaigners for the Punjab assembly elections.
A list of 30 star campaigners was issued by the party’s general secretary KC Venugopal on Friday.

Former Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, Congress general secretary Ajay Maken and former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and party incharge of Punjab affairs Harish Choudhary will also campaign in the state.
The other star campaigners are Anand Sharma, Kumari Selja, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Rajeev Shukla, Sachin Pilot, Deepender Singh Hooda, Ranjeet Ranjan, Netta D’Souza, BV Srinivas, Imran Pratapgarhi, Amrita Dhawan, and Tajender Singh Bittoo.
Congress sitting MLA from Jalalabad Raminder Awla, who has been replaced, is on the list. Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu, Cabinet minister Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, campaign committee president Sunil Jakhar have also been named star campaigners. Congress Rajya Sabha members from Punjab Ambika Soni and Partap Singh Bajwa have also been included.
