Congress party delegation led by Advocate Salman Khurshid met Election Commission of India on April 10. The meeting was held in regard to Karnataka Assembly Elections. While talking to media after meeting, Salman Khurshid said, “Election Commission talked to us very positively and we are very satisfied.” “We raised three specific issues regarding Karnataka Elections. One important issue is the tenders that have been granted to various parties on the eve of code of conduct being introduced and the election being announced. These tenders are a direct and blatant attempt to influence the outcome of the State Election. We requested the ECI to consider the issue. Election Commission assured us that the issue will be taken into matter and there will be appropriate steps taken to prevent payments being made during the period,” said Salman Khurshid.
